I'm a longtime Pet Shop Boys fan AND an Almighty fan so I don't think this collection is *that* bad. Yes, there are countless remixes of the actual PSB tracks to play but I like Almighty's pop-dance treatment that stays true to the originals. They even breathe some life into the overplayed "West End Girls." The only unlistenable track, IMO, is "Losing My Mind." Really bad idea to imitate Liza Minelli's vocals. There's an Almighty promo mix of Liza's original floating around - seek that out instead. Fun for the car or the gym. 08/26/2010

Wow, this is a miracle! I've been trying to track this one down forever. I read on Chicane's message board that the release was cancelled by the record company and only about 100 promo copies ever got released. Snag this one FAST! 08/26/2010

Love it! Toni Braxton + Hex Hector = dancefloor heaven. Though I think I might actually prefer the Fred Falke mix of "Yesterday." Lots of great stuff here. Thanks Perfect Beat and Atlantic Records for making this happen! 07/22/2010

Fun song - kind of Erasure-ish in parts. Love the Michael Woods mix, which is pretty much a dub. Very reminiscent of Trouser Enthusiasts. 07/16/2010

Not as fun as Anastacia's "Boom" from the 2002 World Cup, this is still a decent track with a lite-world beat backing track and Shakira's signature vocals. The "club mix" is by Freemasons but is only an edit. Maybe another enterprising country will release more remixes. 07/04/2010

YES!! This album is soooo much fun! Ana Matronic's spoken bridge in "Any Which Way" is worth the price alone! Camp-tastic! "Fire With Fire" is a great pop song - hope we'll see some good remixes soon. 07/04/2010

Awesome! Love Sophie and this is a great 2-tracker. There's a bit of a Visage "Fade To Grey" theme running throughout - a mash-up would be cool. Hope the remixes show up on CD soon. The B-side, "Sophia Loren," is great fun too. Sounds like something the Go-Gos or Toni Basil might have recorded in the early 80s. Can't wait for the album! 05/25/2010

Oh how I miss the heady, carefree dance music of the 90s. I would have titled this collection "Feels Like Heaven" because it does. Great price for all the hits and excellent bonus remix disc. 05/20/2010

Kudos to Lady Gaga (or her label) for collecting all these remixes in one convenient package. The mixes may be too short for some but it's a great collection for the car or gym. There's overlap with the recent Japanese collection but this one is worth it for the previously unavailable mixes. 05/20/2010

Almighty actually put some meat on this twee song's bones. Fun and catchy in typical Almighty style. The vocoded vocals might be too much for some but the instrumental and dub versions are good too. If it didn't catch your ear on first listen, try again. A grower for sure. 05/20/2010

Fun! I love it when unexpected genres merge - electro/hip-hop, who knew? Lots of different mixes to choose from. Hoxton Whores and Mastiksoul get my votes but the original is what will stay in your head for days. 05/20/2010

Sexy, atmospheric dance pop. A few too many radio edits but it's all about the Play & Win mix anyway so that's the extended version to have. You'll be hearing this a lot this summer. Hot indeed! 05/20/2010

Great stuff!! Go Rupaul! Best value for your dance music dollar - an album's worth of great remixes for just $11! Matt Pop is one to watch. He does absolutely fantastic pop/dance remixes. Check out his channel on youtube. So glad he is getting attention from the dance labels. Worth it for his version of "Let's Turn The Night" alone! 05/20/2010

Love it! Okay, it may be a bit cheesy but her voice reminds me of Abigail and it calls to mind 90s hits like "Smells Like Teen Spirit," "Constant Craving" and "Losing My Religion." Klubjumpers is the mix for me but both are good. 05/20/2010

I actually kind of like his voice - at least judging by the sound clips. Very 80s, synthpop sounding. Maybe he should try some more retro-styled tracks. Love the Josh Harris mix. The Peter Brown mix sounds good too. Give it another listen. 01/14/2010

Barry Harris!! Wow, I thought he'd disappeared into the wilds of Canada never to produce dance music again. His is the mix to go for here. It's a bit "Dive In The Pool"-ish but I like feeling like it's 2000 again and I'm 10 years younger! The Chris Thomas/F.U.B.A.R. mix actually sounds pretty good too. Must have of the week! 01/14/2010

Not another cover of the Jackson 5 track but instead a cover of the 90s club track by a group called 3rd Party. I always liked that one - don't know how big a hit it was, though it featured in the movie "Kiss Me Guido." I like the Klubjumpers mix here but there's a nice variety with something for everyone. Thumbs up! 01/14/2010

This is a really cool remix EP with songs from Erasure's best album "The Innocents." "Phantom Bride" is one of the best tracks on the album. Should have been a hit single - I admit I like it even better than "Chains Of Love." Neither of the new mixes of "Phantom Bride" do much for me but I love hearing the remastered original.
Almighty's 'Essential' mix of "Chains of Love" is slightly different than the version that appeared on their Definitive Collection 7 last month. I like this EP version a bit better than the 'Definitive' version, though that mix is closer to the original. Most will probably head to the Wayne G/Andy Allder mix anyway, which is also good but just lacks a certain something for me. And don't dismiss the electro Plastic Operator mix - it's really quite good too.
Vince Clarke's mix of "Hallowed Ground" sounds mostly like an extended album version and Joebot's "Heart of Stone" remix is another good electro style mix. If you were disappointed by the Erasure Club EP released last summer, rest assured this is classic Erasure - updated but very enjoyably recognizable. 10/30/2009

An odd choice for a cover, especially as they stay so close to the Will Smith original. But check out the 7th Heaven remix! Will Smith on speed! Love it! 7th Heaven is a DJ (or team) who used to do mixes for Almighty and also goes by the name Club Junkies. I'm probably messing up some details there but if you like any of those remixers you'll like this. 09/10/2009

I like the H&S mix with it's rave-like backing track. Reminds me of club nights back in the 90s. The original production is by Ian Anthony Stephens who produced some of Klone's classics back in the day - Jackie Clune's "Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft", Abigail's "Constant Craving" & "Smells Like Teen Spirit", Illusive's "Amoureuse" - but this one just seems to be lacking that special something. It's not terrible, just a bit lifeless compared to some of his other productions. But since there have been surprisingly few cash-ins for the Susan Boyle phenomenon, this is the one to play. 07/22/2009

Dear God, buy it just for gorgeous cover model Denham - I'm moving to Australia to marry that man! Stunning! There's a short video on the CD profiling about 8 other gorgeous models so if Denham's not your type, someone will be. Oh yeah, the music. Well, like most volumes in the series it tends toward Euro NRG/house covers. It's a good fun collection, though the style may be a bit dated for some. Solid covers of M People, Madonna, Katy Perry and a dance version of ABBA's super-sappy "I Have A Dream"! Put it on while you're cleaning or getting ready to go out. And frame that cover! 07/10/2009

Just shocked and saddened that Michael Jackson is really gone. Whatever his personal problems and the controversy surrounding his private life, there is no denying the huge impact he had on pop and dance music during his life. His talent will be missed. (I kind of like the Johnny Vicious mixes here but there's no topping the original.) 06/29/2009

This is a really good rock-pop album from Ms. Holiday. If you want to hear what all her great dance tracks sounded like before the remixers got hold of them, check this out. Fans of Pat Benatar and Amanda Marshall will love it. 06/11/2009

Another great collection from Mr. Liebrand. It's pricey but look at all the rarities you're getting. And most 2-disc import collections run about $30 so really these 4-disc sets are a steal. Here's hoping he'll tackle some Italo classics for an upcoming collection. 06/05/2009
