I was working @ the one might weekend expo for 4 hours this wknd and Brett had this pumping in there! The first track, "turn it up," is def my fave. cd 2 isn't as good, but that's to be expected from alyson. the vocal infusion dub of "surrender me" is interesting, but i still prefer the all hail the divas mix tony and warren did; debby performed this on sunday @ the pool party and was amazing live...even in 90 degree weather! As usual, Brett has his finger on the pulse of what is hot, and gives us a stellar playlist that's flawlessly mixed. He deliberately chose a DJ/remixer like Alyson Calagna to do the second disc as more of an afterhours CD. I agree that "Turn It Up", first song on Disc 1, is my favorite! Tony Moran worked the shit out of this song! Also good to see a bunch of Twisted Dee's productions on here too, like "Sex Tape" and "Kung Fu Me" (which Joe Gauthreaux played at One Mighty Party last weekend). I agree with the other reviewers. This is a fantastic compilation (but what else would you expect from the very talented DJ Brett Henrichsen?!?). It's great to see Twisted Dee tracks included here, especially "Drop The Beat". (W.A., 6/12/2008 see all my reviews >> )
